Lamb's Raid

Nov. 15 I attended the Lamb's Raid at Odyssey in Megamall. That was when Mariah fans gathered and bought her latest CD "Merry Christmas II You." Meeting old and new acquaintances is always good.

Liberty of the Charms~

Did this piece within 4 days, dang I can only paint after work. I wish I have more free time to do stuff that I want. I want a straightforward one for my first piece. Simple theme, subject and color. Now I already want a slice of complication, depth in meaning, more layers of colors in my coming works.

Acrylic on Canvas
12" x 12"

Since I don't have any background with painting at all, I needed
to rely on the internet for those how to's in acrylic painting. I'm
thankful that information is just on our fingertips nowadays.
Still, I wish I took up Fine arts in college. I must have lots of good artist friends
already by now if I had taken that course.

After days of researching, I got to know many stuff! Like what
gesso means, what makes a canvas primed and even how to
stretch a watercolor paper. Man! who would have thought
watercolor papers need to be soaked for best performance!
Still, I'm leaving the learning of coloring to myself. I wanted
those techniques to be discovered by the painter within me.
woo hohoho-!

It's been so long since I last was able to give time to art, and it
is so refreshing to have a finished piece. I know my art
still has a massive room for improvement. Too many to learn,
too many to improve. I need to coup up with those many years
wasted. I 'm currently working for 8 hours, sleeping for the rest
of the day and 0 free time at all!! I hate my current routine. I
wish I can just give my whole day to drawing. Sadly I can't, I
need my job, and I'll be dead if I wont sleep. Literally dead. Geez
I'm just sick.

When I'm With You~

Few days back I discovered Westlife's version of Have You Ever. That made me decide to listen to all their songs. One amazing song ovbiously will lead to another which may describe my hidden feelings.. I wasn't disapointed when I heard "When I'm With You." dang I gotta write it here.

Their voices ascends in every chorus and the intensity towards the bridge is prodigious, given the heartfelt message. The beat is just superb, (it was what made it soar from their other songs) just perfect.

I also think that this song will be best for the vocals of my fave artist Mariah Carey. As if the song was written for her, the beat shares the likeness of her ballads. I hope she'll make her own version of this song cause I really think it will become a massive hit. Er, thats nearly impossible but I'll definitely create my own rendition of this in time.

For the weird me its definitely a sad song, but I find comfort listening to it knowing that memories lasts forever. Definitely a song to listen to when your missing that person that made you know the meaning of life. On to my subtle moments.

Nothing replaces your touch
Never stop believing in us
They’ll be no distance too far
I gotta be where you are (right where you are)
I don’t wanna face this world alone
Without you by my side
You’re the only one that makes it feel like home
And I need you in my life
When you’re not around I’m feeling
Like a piece of me is missing
When it feels like the day is closing in
Somehow I find the faith to make it through

When I'm with you I can conquer the whole universe
When I'm with you I'm the most handsome guy
When I'm with you my English seem better
When I'm with you I'm complete
I can list a million here..   . . .I miss you

It's Nov. 05, raining hard ~Imma visit our place later.

First Acrylic Preview~

I got so inspired this past few weeks by an artist named May Ann Licudine. I started painting in watercolor first then acrylic. The colors are so beautiful. That made me decide that I'm gonna take painting seriously.

I bought my first watercolor tubes in National Bookstore (oh
hail!) as well as my first acrylic set. I was so thrilled when I first
bought the canvas!! yay! It felt like I'm a real artist already. lolz
Bummer, National doesn't have all the materials I needed, so again I asked Mr. good ol' google for art shops located near my place. Viola, thanks God for Deovir. The art store that has nearly every little stuff a (ehem) true artist
needs (It's so fun to imagine things lolz). My my, T-R-U-E- art
stuff are really expensive! I saw acrylic tubes that are twice or
even thrice the price of my whole set already. I bought graphite
sticks and a modeling paste too. I won't be using the paste yet since I want to focus on mere painting without embossed texture first. I just want to have them available just in case I want to use em already.

I will be posting my very first painting in here once it's totally done, and I hope everything goes fine. Here's what I have done so far.
